Innkeepers
Jeffrey and Cynthia Alley, their dog, Barney, along with
Glenn
and Megan Moshier and their two young sons Andrew and Emmett welcome
you.
Megan
worked for several years in the hospitality business, managing four and
five star hotels. She began
her career at the Ritz Carlton Hotel in Washington, DC, and later moved to
Honolulu where she managed operations for a full service, luxury, boutique
hotel. Megan later rejoined
Ritz Carlton, then St. Regis Hotels in Philadelphia, followed by Swiss Hotel
in Boston before returning to her hometown to raise her two young sons.
Jeff
and Cynthia, both raised locally realize a love for entertaining.
When Cynthia isn’t traveling herself, she often hosts friends and
family in her home nearby. Cynthia’s passions for cooking and gardening are an asset
to this quaint coastal inn.
Jeff,
a sixth generation lobster fisherman moors his 38’ boat, the “Cynthia
Jean” across the street from Elsa’s, his childhood home. From rocking chairs on the veranda at Elsa’s, guests can
watch the fisherman come and go each day.
Very often, at the end of his day, Jeff will return to his truck
toting lobsters for his family or guests of the inn.
Glenn,
also raised in the area, works as a Police Officer in Ellsworth.
Also a volunteer firefighter in nearby Winter Harbor, Glenn boasts
the safety of Elsa’s. With a sprinkler system and life safety system recently
installed, Elsa’s is proud to fully meet State of Maine fire and safety
code requirements.
A
home that has been in their family for more than fifty years, named for
Jeff’s mother, Elsa’s is sure to exceed your expectations.
